The Los Angeles Galaxy (shortened as the LA Galaxy) is a professional American soccer club situated in Carson, Los Angeles, California. The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) and is also one of the league’s 10 charter clubs. Also, the Los Angeles Galaxy is considered as the most outstanding team in the MLS.
Originally, the first professional soccer club to have played in Los Angeles was the Los Angeles Kickers, which was established by the past owner of the Fall River Marksmen named Sam Mark.

After the Los Angeles Kickers, plenty of soccer clubs were born in Los Angeles, including the Los Angeles Galaxy in the year 1993. The longest running rivalry of the club is the San Jose Earthquakes (also termed as the California Clasico), the club also considers the Chivas USA as one of their crosstown rivals, next to the San Jose Earthquakes.
